Melancholia
Metaphorical, anthropomorphic self-portraits manifest out-of-body experiences of shapeshifting associated with sexual and psychiatric abuse–induced peritraumatic dissociation. The Pedigree Curse is broken through decapitated dolls and sacrificial animals, remnants of a traumatised childhood. A testament to terror, these entities unravel the spell of systemic subordination and silence that has plagued for decades.

I am an Australian Anarcha-Feminist visual auto-ethnographer. Through the mediums of photography, textile, and text, my artworks manifest the emotional, cognitive, physical, and metaphorical aspects of my autobiography: interfamilial sexual abuse, and psychiatric abuse. The methodology of analysing and materialising the personal, present conscious relationship to traumatic memory and identity enables the creation of a visible, coherent, and public self-narrative. It is a feminist standpoint approach to chronicling and de-stigmatising the continued utilisation of misogynistic violence perpetrated by the institutions of the nuclear family and psychiatry in Australian patriarchal culture.Social media
