Celebrating a decade of the Fringe at Mary Mags.

28 Feb - Merry Men at Mary Mags
Peter Deane and his Merry Men bring you the unique sound of a highly trained male vocal ensemble singing beautifully, manfully and with passion. Songs of sailors and the sea, sacred and secular music from many lands, and of course a drinking song!

7 Mar - Sisters writing it for themselves
The convents of Europe were famous for music during the Medieval and Renaissance periods. Many sisters were singers and also composers. This concert features music by nun composers - some whose names we know, and some anonymous.

14 Mar - Where The River Meets The Sea
Emlyn and Jodie O'Regan live beside a river among pelicans, cormorants, seagulls and the beach, weaving new and old songs in their love story of Goolwa.

Presented by: St Mary Magdalene's Anglican Church

St Mary Magdalene’s is an Anglican church in the heart of the city of Adelaide, an open, welcoming and inclusive Christian community. Founded in Moore Street in 1886, the church has been a constant presence in the city, having a commitment to social justice, and a special ministry to the poor and marginalised people of the city.

St Mary Magdalene’s church building is a beautiful little jewel, visually delightful and with a lovely acoustic well suited to vocal music. In 2018 the church community continues the popular tradition of hosting concerts as part of the Fringe Festival.
