Jobe’s back at the Adelaide Fringe with Loops! I Did It Again... The van-dwelling beatboxer and self-proclaimed public toilet connoisseur returns with a laugh-out-loud mix of music, mayhem and self-realisation — discovering he’s gloriously weird, and that’s his superpower.

Become immersed in the world of vocal imitation and loop-station composition as Jobe effortlessly blends unbelievable beatboxing with soulful melodies, taking you on his journey to imitate the impossible — a normal human being. Expect laughter. Don’t be surprised if there are tears. But most of all, prepare to face the human condition with authenticity and grace (and super phat bass).

Loops! I did it again.

From a young age all that Joe wanted to do was imitate every interesting sound he could, just like his grandfather Robert Johns. This quirky interest married with an immense love for drumming resulted in the rare skill of beatboxing. Joe continued drumming and completed a Bachelor of Music (Jazz Performance) at the Elder Conservatorium of Music (2014-2016). The broadening of his musicality through tertiary education inspired him to incorporate a loop-station into his beatboxing in 2014. Subsequently he established himself as a song writer, performer and story teller by the name of Jobe. He now performs hundreds of shows each year across Australia, stunning audiences with his beatboxing and loop-station mastery in his children's show 'Learn to beatbox!'.
