Live on the Heysen Trail
One of Australia’s most iconic hiking trails comes to life in a one time only musical and visual experience. A South Australian film maker and an Adelaide musician bring one of the most beautiful walking trails right into the heart of the Adelaide CBD. South Australia’s Heysen Trail will be brought to life in Light Square, at Adelaide’s newest multi-genre immersive performance space, The Lab. Simon Kither from music industry media group KITHER CO will build the specific locations, through film and audio to place the audience right on location on the trail. These beautiful locations will be musically curated and performed live by award winning musician B.S Roberts from the Ukulele Death Squad. This is an immersive experience that brings the artists and the audience together like no other.
Presented by: Ukulele Death Squad
The Ukulele Death Squad strives to entertain and wow their audiences by pushing the boundaries of the small four stringed instrument– the Ukulele.
Exploding onto the scene in February 2017 at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, they blend their own ukulele style with Flamenco, Mexican, rap and Folk, with an energetic performance that goes beyond anything audiences have ever seen. The Death Squad have already managed to achieve sold-out Adelaide & Edinburgh Fringe Festival Seasons in 2017/2018/2019/2020/2021. Also taking out “Best Music Act” of the whole 2018 Adelaide Fringe and best Folk Artist 2019. The UDS will warp your perceptions of ukuleles one nylon string at a time With stage-craft, mad thumping rhythms and outrageous solos, they will quite literally blow your minds.
