Fringe's First African Asian Music, Theatre, Dance & Spoken Word Show!!!

Journey is a multi-disciplinary theatre show, founded by poetry majors with diverse backgrounds, local artist coming from cultures around the world expressing the elements of their journey through movement, dance and a spoken word styled dialogue.

This fun, entertaining combination of multiple-art forms brings together stories of longing for homeland, adapting to a western society, focusing on themes of love, acceptance, ego, anxiety, social awkwardness, loneliness.

Inspired by other non-white culturally diverse artistic community events, Soul Lounge; emphasis's on escalating developing artist of diverse backgrounds, whether they are bi-lingual, minorities, uprooted migrant children that exchange their confusion and calamity into cadence and rhythm.

The evening features one artist from Adelaide and/or one around the country, after an open mic session. The open mic can be whatever you want it to be. Sing, rap, do poetry or stand up comedy. Do you!

The venue wherever it may be transforms into a relaxed evening of poetry, smooth beats and hot drinks.

Soul Lounge is alcohol free, instead there'll be tea and coffee available. This event is centered around creating a judgment free spot for people to do their thing, while also supporting local artist.
