Luke Kelly (1940-1984) Ireland's foremost traditional singer played with The Dubliners. Dave Clark met & played with the band, followed their music & sung their songs. Together with friends Dave presents a concert of those Irish songs we love & remember. Sing along with The Fields of Athenry & Whisky in the Jar. Special guest Jack Brennan Uilleann Pipes. Dave Clark is a folk performer, singer, songwriter, musician & music entrepreneur. In 1997 he transformed a neglected church into a vibrant live music venue..The Singing Gallery in McLaren Vale which ran for 25 years. Together with his partner Kate Townsend they presented concerts to tour groups visiting The Fleurieu Peninsula & hosted concerts for local, interstate and overseas performers. Recently they closed the venue & now run The Singing Gazebo in Clarendon. Dave has toured widely, produced eight albums, recorded for ABC TV. His first love is traditional music of Australia & Ireland. With partner Kate performing life is still in full swing.. Multicultural Concerts for schools & kindies, playing for bush dances, hosting concerts for tour groups in Clarendon. Let's keep music live!
