Explore the moves shaped by music’s biggest icons as they brought the party from the streets and dance halls to living rooms, house parties and into the hearts of a generation.

The Soul Council is a South Australian-based dance and movement studio, led by internationally trained and recognised artist, Penelope Shum.
A passionate educator, Penelope has worked with the creative teams for Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Chris Brown, Justin Timberlake, Mary J. Blige, J.Lo, Usher and more to host one-of-a-kind industry workshops for her community, while her own performance and creative credits include world-renowned music artists Mya, Nelly, Sean Paul, Louis Vega, Carl Cox, DVBBS & Dropgun and Dimitri From Paris amongst others.
