Giri - Jamma Ja'

Franco (Giri) grew up playing classical guitar with the Sydney Spanish Guitar Centre. He only returned to music a few years ago and has since played with The Flaming Alpacas, Scirocco Project, Due Voci and Flamenco Neapolis. The Giri concept is about going back to his roots and nylon strings to pay homage to some of his favourite Italian and Neapolitan songs that he grew up listening to with his family in his lounge room(s) both here and in Italy. Giri shows are about treating the audience to some old school entertainment. The Giri shows always have “a pinch of 50’s folk-rock, 60’s pop, 70’s ballads, Neapolitan and Spanish rhythms with a hint of classical gypsy jazz and blues! But in the end it is all about keeping these songs and our language alive.
