Presented by: Future Science Talks

Future Science Talks runs Australia’s only Science Comedy Program and is currently producing the ‘Science Comedy Handbook ‘for the CSIRO.

We partner with scientists and organisations across Australia, helping science professionals infuse humour into their talks.

In 2024, we trained over 200 people in metropolitan and regional cities, and had local scientists feature in 15 festivals across Australia.

This included: Adelaide Fringe, Sydney Comedy Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Brisbane Comedy Festival, Darwin Fringe, and WA Comedy Week.

Our Comedy Edition show features scientists giving 10-minute talks that are packed with humour.

Our gameshow format includes comedians, celebrities and even school groups. They need to guess whether scientists are lying or not.

  •

Perhaps more kids, especially girls, will pursue STEM careers if more science was presented like this - Jan Kershaw, Glam Adelaide
