Frankly's Wordrobe

Cabaret • Comedy
South Australia • World Premiere
Grown up an only child? Wondered: is it a chemical burn, or am I just high? Accidentally stolen a small child's cat? A mixed-load-cycle cabaret of hoarded clothes and the stories they keep, step inside the wordrobe and into something a little less comfortable.

Written and performed by Adelaide's multi award-winning dive bar sweetheart come cabaret maker, Frankly "lures you close with her unique songs and quick wit" (The Weekend Notes, 2019). A favourite and Fringe Award recipient in 2019, audiences can except an eclectic hour of original compositions, "Bjork-esque vocals" (Frtiz Mag, 2018), quirky commentary and a holy display of self-deprecating humour, all wrapped up in Frankly's signature candid charm.

Presented by: FRANKLY

Meet Frankly: Adelaide's candid queen of swearing and oversharing. Cited across the years as a "powerhouse" (This Is Radelaide, 2017) and "a risk-taker" (Adelaide Theatre Guide, 2017), this young artist is an "excellent pianist with a stunning voice" (The Advertiser, 2018) who "lures you close with her unique songs and quick wit" (The Weekend Notes, 2019). From her early years on the local music circuit to branching into cabaret in 2017, Frankly has gathered a loyal fanbase attracted by her distinctive sound and animated presence at the piano. After an award-winning Fringe season in 2019, Frankly returns with her fourth original show, inviting you to love yourself harder in her space reserved for celebrating the ridiculousness of trying to be a human person.
