Everything is a Lie

What's the secret to having it all? Don’t ask Lauren Edwards because she has no idea. What she does have, however, is a charming wit and cynical attitude.

Making her Adelaide Fringe debut, ‘Everything is a Lie’ is a wildly relatable hour of comedy and original pop music that will have you nodding your head so hard you might sprain a muscle. Lauren is the anti-capitalist girl next door who proves that, even in these uncertain times, existential dread can still be cute.

“A masterpiece of millennial misery!” Stage Whispers.

Lauren Edwards is a performer, comedian and rage-filled angel. Originally a music theatre kid, she pivoted to comedy in 2017 once she realized her knees couldn’t take the pressure. Known for her pithy takes and charming attitude, Lauren has opened for the Brisbane Comedy Festival and debuted to a sell-out season at Melbourne Comedy Festival in 2021 with her first solo show 'Live, Laugh, Lauren'. Her sophomore show 'Everything is a Lie' previewed in May 2022 to critical success and she is so excited to continue it's development in 2023. Lauren also loves donning a silly wig and costume and has teamed up with fellow actor and comedian, Sarah Bartolo, in the campy romp, 'Business Women's Luncheon: Your Ticket to Financial Freedom!"
