Double the Derby – Adelaide Roller Derby Season Opener

South Australia

Adelaide Roller Derby brings the hard-hitting excitement of not one, but two games of (you guessed it…) roller derby to Adelaide Fringe! This full-contact sport is played fully on wheels and the thrills and spills are 100% real. Don’t miss the very first games of the 2023 season. Firstly the Wild Hearses take on the Salties, then reigning champions Mile Die Club will take on last year’s fiercest contenders, the Road Train Rollers.

As if watching Adelaide’s oldest derby league shred the track wasn’t enough, there’s heaps of extras to look forward to: live music and commentary, a trackside marketplace, food and, of course, the bar.

Roller derby is a family friendly sport that celebrates everybody and every body! Whether you’re an aficionado or a first-timer, you’re in for a rip-roaring good time. Doors from 12pm, first whistle 12:30pm.

Please note: The performance on 18/03/2023 has changed times from 4PM to 12PM since the Adelaide Fringe Guide was printed.

Presented by: Adelaide Roller Derby

Adelaide Roller Derby is Adelaide's first and oldest flat track Roller Derby League!

Adelaide Roller Derby aims to develop a diverse group of people who are committed and passionate about the sport of women’s flat track roller derby, on- and off-skates. We are a non-profit association, run by the members and for the members and dedicated to promoting sport over spectacle. Safety, athleticism and teamwork are highly regarded values for Adelaide Roller Derby as we structure an empowering and enduring experience for the women and gender expansive people of Adelaide.

Grandstands are provided but spaces are limited. We recommend bringing a blanket/pillows to be seated on the floor, or byo chair to be seated behind the blankets.
