Dancing through the ages

Music • Folk
South Australia • SA Premiere

Join The Folk Foragers for a time warp as they explore dances through the ages and the fundamental role of music in culture and story-telling. You will hear traditional folk pieces from old European cultures including Denmark, Finland and Ireland before travelling through to classical and baroque eras, the roaring 20s, the swinging 60s, and finally landing in modern day popular music! The Folk Foragers love sharing the cultural tradition that is music and this performance is no exception.

Presented by: The Folk Foragers

The Folk Foragers are four local string musicians who play traditional folk tunes and love to share stories through the beauty of music with their audiences. The Folk Foragers love to get out and busk in different locations within South Australia as well as play at weddings, functions and events. The Folk Foragers most love putting together their own shows for their audiences where they get to share the most enchanting of traditional folk stories in their performance. The love and cultural importance of music is at the forefront of The Folk Foragers' group values.
