Cultural Renegades comprises of 10 dancers skilled in Hip Hop and Dancehall choreography and freestyle, and independent music artist, Strictly DT, who narrates the show through original works of poetry and spoken word.
They debuted their first show at Fringe World Perth in 2017 to sell-out audiences and received a award nomination for Best Dance & Physical Theatre Act. They were also warmly welcomed at Sydney Fringe Festival in 2017, receiving a Sydney Morning Herald 4 star review on opening night.
Conceptualised by Creative Director, Lisa Crowe, Cultural Renegades explores the
social aspects of freedom, escapism and unity in an immersive, feel-good environment.
