As an audience member you will be taken on a fascinating true crime journey that includes the biographies, weapons and true crime stories that will amaze. Coinciding with the publication of his 16th book, “The Black Widow”, Roy Maloy will present the biographies of the women who have killed in some of the most extraordinary ways throughout Australian history. Winner of the 2024 Fringe weekly award: “Best Talk & Workshop”.

After 25 years of publishing, and 15 true crime biographies, Roy Maloy has been dubbed “The most prolific true crime author in Australian History" by ABC radio National and the Herald Sun. He is a best selling author specialising in the biographies of the organised criminals from Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide’s 1900-1920’s “golden era”, focusing on the outsider group criminals who are female, aboriginal, children, disabled or queer.
Deb Robinson is the head historian at the Geelong Gaol Museum, and Operations Manager at the National Crime & Punishment Museum. As a specialist in crimes relating to Murder she is a published author of “The Hunt for the Australian Ripper” and “Twisted History”. Ash Tonkins is an LGBTQ crime historian and has recently published their first work at just 18.
