This show belongs to the Adelaide Fringe 2026 season. This season is now over.

Drag queen Isabella Box beams with wide-eyed delight, framed by an explosion of voluminous, candyfloss-pink ruffles that engulf her shoulders like theatrical wings. Her sculpted pastel wig, adorned with curled victory rolls, towers high above her joyfully painted face—complete with bold pink eyeshadow, oversized lashes, and a megawatt smile. She wears a shimmering, skin-toned bodice adorned with iridescent pink-and-peach diamond-shaped scales and cascading red beads, giving the impression of a living showgirl piñata mid-surprise party. Her pose is cheeky, dynamic, and full of campy charisma.

CANCELLED - Zo Star is Isabella Box: Sealed to Prevent Tampering

A one-woman cabaret-comedy about a hyper-fem drag-queen who locks herself in a room at the museum after learning she is being manipulated by her narcissistic, on-again off-again boyfriend, Max Hunt. Refusing to come out she soon becomes one of the Galleries’ biggest performance art attractions.

But beneath the sequins and sass burns a fiercely steadfast spirit, Isabella Box’s creator and self-confessed clown, Zo Star who shows up unexpectedly to inject the story with moments of truth.

For anyone who has been love-bombed, ghosted or gaslighted, this show will take you on an hilarious, yet deeply human ride up the relationship escalator. But Isabella Box and Zo Star are wild spirits that cannot be easily tamed and they’re not about to roll over and let Max Hunt dim their f*ckin’ shine.
