Bangla music is an essential part of Bengali culture—a rich and diverse tradition that has evolved since ancient times. It includes folk songs, Lalon Giti, Bhawaia, Jari, Sari, Baul, patriotic songs and modern Bangla music. For the hardworking people of Bengal, these songs have long been the greatest source of entertainment.
In this event, artists from the Lalan Cultural Team will present traditional songs drawn from the vast heritage of Bengal’s thousand-year-old folk culture. Accompanied by traditional instruments, these folk musicians will sing and dance, captivating the audience. Through these songs, the true essence of Bengal will be revealed.

K M Moynul Alam (Moynul Alam Rumon) is a Bangladeshi cultural organiser, singer, drama director, producer, and journalist. Born on 25 August 1974, he serves as President of the Lalan Cultural Team, Senior Vice President of the 89 Foundation, Team Leader of Literary and Cultural Stage, and Editor of Weekly Desh Dunia. A listed singer of Bangladesh Television, he has long worked to preserve and promote Bangla culture through music, drama, documentaries, and journalism. His directed and produced dramas—such as Ghat-Oghat, Kachu Bane Pushpa Phul, Counter Master, and Bhoi—aired on various channels. His musical documentary Panchashe Amra received a special award in India.
