Adelaide Fringe 2026

CANCELLED - Back to the Overthinking

Time: it heals, it hurts, and if you’re Andy Mewett, it’s something you spend far too much of inside your own head. After swinging through life’s sand traps last Fringe with an award winning show, Andy’s back;  this time with a multimedia deep dive into the ticking chaos of overthinking. Stuck in the past, racing to the future, and forgetting to breathe in the present, he unpacks the mind of a chronic time traveler living with bipolar disorder, and the pressure to get it all right. Honest, funny, and deeply human; this is a story about learning to stay still when your mind won’t.

2025 audiences took an immersive ride, now it's your turn;

"Awesome show Yesterday!!!" Michael Coggan

"We were completely immersed in your storytelling" Carolyn Ferrie (Acclaimed Actor/Singer)

Presented by: Andy Mewett

Award-winning storyteller, teacher, and accidental time traveller Andy Mewett returns to the stage with his mind set to “hyperdrive.” A 2025 Fringe Award winner, Andy dives back into the beautiful chaos of his bipolar brain where decisions are epic quests, logic takes long lunches, and the past and future won’t stop calling. By day, he’s an educator and sustainability advocate, pushing students to think bigger. By night, an empty nester experimenting with high-tech, e-friendly living, he’s determined to embrace the present if he can stop over-analysing it first. Honest, funny, and uncomfortably relatable, Andy explores the art of finding peace in indecision and hope in the everyday hum of a restless brain.
