Bush Gothic

Get ready to have your homely and totally archaic notions of Australian folk music exploded. This post modern bush band have presented their work with Melbourne Symphony Chamber, won the Australian Folk Music Award for ‘Best Band 2022’ and have performed at some of the world's most prestigious festivals including Mona Foma, Festival # 6 (Wales), R.I.F.F (India) and Womadelaide. Twice Adelaide Fringe 'Best Music Award' winners they have  developed an international cult following amongst those who like their jazz dark and their folk complex.

The Rajasthan International Folk Festival built Bush Gothic a stage to play on within a UNESCO listed Maharajah’s Palace and English folk superstars ‘The Unthanks’ invited them to perform at their ‘Home Gathering’ festival. Melbourne Symphony Orchestra have presented their musical arrangements and recent Order of Australia recipient, composer Iain Grandage AM, calls them his ‘favourite Australian band’. Sometimes they make subversive feminist cross stitch. Festivals include: MonaFoma (Aus), Festival No.6 (Wales), Shambala Festival (England), Tauranga Arts Festival (New Zealand), Welsh National Eisteddfod (UK), Sidmouth Folk Festival (UK), National Folk Festival, Port Fairy Folk Festival,Woodford Folk Fest, Port Fairy Spring Music Festival. They live in Naarm/Melbourne.
