Get ready to bootscoot back in time! Boombox Bootscoot returns with an all-new set of country style covers of your favourite 80s AND 90s hits like you’ve never heard them before.

This wild 6-piece band featuring banjo, fiddle, upright bass, rich vocal harmonies and line dancing moves brings a quirky yet classy energy to the retro bangers from artists you know and love.

Fringe audiences have come to know and love the playful nostalgia paired with fine musicianship - it’s a DARN good time. By the way, dress ups are encouraged! So what are y’all waitin’ for? Dust off your boombox, tease up your hair, don some double denim so you can sing along and scoot your boots to the ultimate throwback hoedown! YEEHAW!

Mikala Lane is an Adelaide-based vocalist, actor, coach & emerging producer. As well being a regular entertainer in live acuts across SA, Mikala aims to create and deliver fun, unique, high-quality music shows. Her current works include ‘Boombox Bootscoot’, as well as co-producing ‘crepuscular’ by Abbey Amber. Previously she has produced and performed in her debut sold-out show ‘My Little Voice - A Sara Bareilles Tribute’ in 2023. Mikala formed Boombox Bootscoot with founding members Crafty (guitar, drums, vocals) & Jacob Howard (ganjo, guitar, vocals). The band has performed at events such as Royal Adelaide Show & Elder Park NYE and has featured a lineup of SA’s finest musicians including Kane Jones (bass), Shelley Pantic (vocals), Julian Ferraretto (fiddle), Tim Shepard (fiddle) & more.
