This summer...coming to a venue near you...Adelaide Wind Orchestra presents:
In a galaxy very near, with wizards, ninjas, a race around the world and a perfect storm, AWO will take you on a journey across the oceans and the ages to deliver you an action-packed evening of some of the biggest movie scores to hit cinema sound systems!
This night of movie magic will be delivered by Adelaide's own 'world class ensemble' directed by our interstate guest conductor, the dazzling Greg Peterson. BLOCKBUSTERS will feature music from some timeless and modern classics such as The Sea Hawk, The Great Race and Cinema Paradiso to Harry Potter and the latest Star Wars, and everything in between.
This show has everyone in the family covered, so grab your popcorn and your oversized drink and get to 'Blockbusters'!

We exist to provide the wind instrumentalists of Adelaide the opportunity to collaborate with other like-minded musicians in an exciting new venture to reinvigorate its classical orchestral scene. We have brought together some of the best musicians comprising from current and past Elder Conservatorium students and community musicians to perform great music for our audiences to enjoy!
