Black, Blind and Boodli - Joshua Warrior wearing a denim jacket and a black cap with a white J on it standing in front of a painted wall

Black, Blind and Boodli

Blazing onto the stage in 2026, Joshua warrior returns to Adelaide Fringe with his new show Black, Blind and Boodli. With a name like Warrior, it’s fair to say he’s one of the sharpest, funniest and most fearless Aboriginal comedians in the country, and this is the show to prove it. Come see, and you will believe.

Like a phoenix rising from the blindness (wearing shades, of course), Warrior launches into a new era of comedy: authentic, raw, fearless and brilliantly human. This is more than an hour of jokes, it’s a story of survival, pride, resilience and hardcore belly-laughs. It’s comedy with heart. Fire. Rhythm. Deadly timing.

This is comedy that punches through adversity and lands with a grin. Blinded but never defeated, Warrior flips disability into power, pain into punchlines, and life experience into something hilariously relatable. He’s living proof that laughter really is the best medicine, especially when it comes delivered with rhythm, cheek, danger and charm.

Warrior now performs fully blind, so be sure to show up, he can’t see you, but he can absolutely hear you laugh. Bring your friends, bring your mob, bring that one mate who needs cheering up. This show might just change your night, your mood, or maybe your outlook completely. If you’re going to start a new chapter in life, why not start it with a laugh?

★★★★★ “He has the mic, sings and mimes, has some exceptional dance moves, and his line in non-verbal communication has just as much profanity as the voiced one.”
★★★★★ “Joshua Warrior is operating at several levels of comedy at once. His show gives the satisfaction that a laugh-a-minute stand-up lacks.”
★★★★½ “Warrior’s storytelling was extremely relatable for any Australian in the crowd. He describes his experiences with passion and a relaxed down-to-earth tone.”
