Beyond the Red Thread
Red threads. A colour, a signal, a secret between women.
Jealousy, sympathy, rivalry, and solidarity. Menstruation, blood, pain, and birth.
In this immersive contemporary dance experience, three female Taiwanese artists unravel the entangled cords of womanhood and cultural identity.
Inspired by Eastern aesthetics, the dancers breathe, collide, and connect through visceral movement.
Exploring relationships that are more brutal than love, yet more forgiving than betrayal.
A poetic and powerful portrayal of friendship, trauma, and rebirth.
Presented by emerging artists from Taiwan in their world premiere at Adelaide Fringe.
