AYIGBE EDEM AND THE VIBES KILLERS
Denning Edem Hotor, known as Edem alias 'Ayigbe Edem' has epitomised creative leadership and initiative, artistic originality, and constant evolution. Hailing from Dzogadze in the Volta Region, the artist, one of two kids to a lawyer-dad and an educationist-mum (both deceased) not only spearheaded the use of the Ewe language in mainstream music but globalised it. In his quest to establish himself as the epitome, trailblazer and torchbearer of his region,
#EDEMFEST was launched in 2017 to celebrate and showcase music brewed from the region but also tackle societal vices.
#EDEMFEST over the years has attracted over 100,000 patrons every year both home and abroad to Ghana. Edem is a versatile artiste which he does beautifully in his native Ewe a minority language in Ghana, English, and Patois
