Animal Crackers

Flute ensemble Coruscalia Collective goes wonderfully wild at the Adelaide Fringe this year!  Inspired by our feathered, furred and scaly friends, Coruscalia Collective brings a concert full of birds, cats and other curious creatures.

This eclectic program of jazz and classical music includes works with narration and visual art, and all the pieces are by living composers, including US composers Nicole Chamberlain and Michael Isaacson, and Adelaide composer Hannah Wilkinson.

Presented by: Coruscalia Collective

Coruscalia Collective brings 21st century flute music and works of Australian composers into interesting spaces and informal venues. The collective made its debut in the 2023 Adelaide Fringe Festival, and has performed at the Australian Flute Festival, Chamber Music Adelaide’s On the Terrace and the Gonjiam Ceramic Park in South Korea for the Fringe Festival for the World Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (WASBE) Conference.

The collective is passionate about collaborating with South Australian composers, and has performed works by Adelaide-based composers David John Lang, Karen De Nardi, Hannah Wilkinson, and Rachel Bruerville.
