Amplifii was born from Karren's shared passion for music with her son James who lives with Autism. "I wanted a way for everyone to come together and celebrate through music in a safe and accessible way." Karren experienced multiple barriers when exploring current community events in Adelaide. The lack of accessibility, safe spaces for sensory needs and physical barriers to access, limited the ability for James to pursue his love of music. With James requiring 2:1 support, the cost of entry for both James and the 2-support staff also creates a financial barrier. We are finding more people are faced with similar situations and with a dedicated, volunteer-led committee with lived experience, our mission is to rectify that, even if it is for one fantastic day.
