All the years/lost & found (as if snow, melting)

South Australia • SA Premiere

The exhibition investigates familial/childhood ties to the Adelaide Central Market and incorporates ideas of memory, parenting, loss and reparation. Poetic responses through sculpture and installation respond also, to the site of FELTspace gallery.

The exhibition draws on my very early memory of visiting the (East End) markets as a child with my (Italian migrant) father before dawn, to procure supplies for his fruit and vegetable store and the subsequent importance markets hold for my family, over many generations.

This new body of work- utilising materials both familair and new- has been developed during and is the outcome of, an 11-month Residency at George Street Studios, funded by the Adelaide Fringe.

The exhibition includes an artist talk to the public (Sat 11th Feb) and catalogue.
