A detail of an ink drawing. Five figures are queueing, their heads are bent down and each is holding a strange package.
Three drawings on think paper. The drawings are all monochrome showing white figures against inky black backgrounds.
Two black and white paintings. The one the left shows a long thin horse hovering over a curled up child. The figures are painted in thin white wash and appear transparent. The Painting on the right is divided into two sections, at the bottom a brick wall is painted with very straight lines, above a wash of black and greenish grey create a cloudy effect.

Aldo Iacobelli - Ghostly Pages

'Ghostly Pages' presents a new body of paintings and drawings by acclaimed South Australian artist Aldo Iacobelli. Moving between memory and erasure, presence and disappearance, Iacobelli’s work hovers in the space between remembering and forgetting. His celebrated practice, spanning several decades, continues a philosophical enquiry into the human condition, cruelty, love, and existential mystery. The exhibition is accompanied by an essay and small library with key publications on the artist.

"Fabulous Painting" Linda Marie Walker, acclaimed writer and artist

"One of our greatest painters" Michael Newall, UniSA scholar
