ADDiCTED music mime dance
ADDiCTED is a true to life story & “Deals with a serious issue in an artistic way” Shakti, TGI.
Mime; Adam Jackson (Jacques) struggles to take control of his life without a word.
Dance; Rosemary Ochtman (Jacques’ friend) has a bubbly façade, & her wavering voice of persuasion will have you guessing. As the voice of Jacque’s wife, the effects are clear.
Music; Sanny Veloo wonders how he can help & has composed most of the songs, collaborating with Andrew Cooper’s lyrics & some of his own.
Co-writers Karen King, Andrew Cooper & dramaturg Emilie Collyer make up the team & look forward to seeing you at one of the 8 regional and 4 city shows for their world premiere tour.
School workshop incursions and Q&A available upon request. Contact Schools Program Coordinator at schools@adelaidefringe.com.au.
Presented by: Andrew Cooper
Writer Andrew Cooper has combined with editor/director Karen King to present this true to life story.
A common thread for all the pairs previous collaborations has been exposing the human side to all stories.
The struggles of musicians is portrayed through “The Scorcher Fest Story”.
“Square Peg” delves deep into the one size fits all Aged Care system.
The Moulin Rouge endorsed extravaganza “Dream” celebrates resilience & persistence.
“ADDiCTION” stars Adam Jackson, Rosie Ochtman & Sanny Veloo all from Melbourne. This sounds a little crazy with the presenters being from The Clare Valley in SA. Well, addiction is far from normal.
Be prepared to experience emotion, comedy, drama, music, mime & dance, with all aspects adding to the story where not everything is obvious or easy.
