A Wee Tap
A darkly humorous tale set in rural Ireland of the 80/90s. Majella Sheerin gains her freedom after murdering her husband. Bullied at school, exploited at home and abused by a man known as “The Beast”. How she survives is the story. She lives in her own world of crime and thrillers and delights being the centre of attention in a police investigation and subsequent court case. Will you find out the truth? The whole truth? Nothing but the truth?

I'm a writer of dark humorous short stories plays and scripts. Some have been produced by local arts festivals here in Ireland. Some have received rehearsed readings by theatrical companies. A number of short radio plays made it on local radio. I've written and directed a few short (1-2 minute) movies that have made it to film festivals. My play 'A Wee Tap' made it through the first sift reading for BBC Writersroom. Currently drafting a murderous follow-up.Suitability & warnings
