A PUNK OPERA
A PUNK OPERA is a new take in the expected Nuworks style on Bertolt Brecht's The Threepenny Opera. Set in the 1970s, it references the government of Margaret Thatcher and the advent of the punk rock era, defined by a rejection of core British values: minor strikes, race riots, football hooligans and garbage strikes. All to a soundtrack reminiscent of The Kinks in particular.
