A Night To Baguette

Cabaret • Absurdist
South Australia • SA Premiere

Occupied Paris, 1941. Cabaret artiste Lulu Ledoux finds herself murdered just before she was to perform The Greatest French Song Ever Written. Refusing to let her death stop the show, Lulu re-enacts her murder from 3 perspectives and discovers her killer's identity  – and all in less than an hour.

With real and imagined French chansons and a surprise finish, 'A Night to Baguette' is an absurdist cabaret/whodunnit tragi-comedy about passion, performance, collective grief - and bread.

From the producers of 'A Tribute to Kate Bush' and 'The Runner Up', this is the premiere performance of 'A Night to Baguette'. Featuring Louise McCabe as Lulu, Deborah Brennan and Jimmy Vine.

Presented by: Guilty Pleasures Shows

Guilty Pleasures began as a cabaret and burlesque festival in Byron Bay's beautiful vintage neighbour, Brunswick Heads. It showcased amazing artists from around Australia in conjunction with the world-famous Brunswick Picture House.

Rebranding as Guilty Pleasures Shows in Kaurna country (Adelaide), we now present exciting theatre, music and cabaret. Guilty Pleasures Shows presented the hour-long version of our award-winning rock'n'roll comedy The Runner Up at the 2018 and 2019 Adelaide Fringe and the Back2Back festival, and A Tribute to Kate Bush at Nexus Arts in 2022 as part of the Adelaide Cabaret Fringe Festival.
