A Night in Paris

Louise Blackwell and the French Set were the Advertiser's pick of the Fringe for music in 2021 and they are back for the Marion Cultural Centre's 2022 Fringe season with their award-winning hit show A NIGHT IN PARIS. Louise lived in Paris for many years, singing in the jazz scene and experiencing the joys of Parisian cultural life, and she shares this with stories of her life there and those of the artists whose songs she sings. With a four-piece all-star band featuring Mark Ferguson on piano, Tom Pulford on saxophone and clarinet, John Aué on double bass and Joshua Baldwin on drums, they perform songs by the great artists of French popular music including Edith Piaf, Léo Ferré, Georges Brassens, Barbara, Charles Trenet, Jacques Brel and Serge Gainsbourg. A NIGHT IN PARIS is sure to delight!
