Virago Circus partnered with Beresford Wines to offer a Wine Flight and I’m so glad I got the opportunity to take part in the festivities.
Miss Nona Mona introduced the guests to the absolutely gorgeous tasting rooms at the Beresford Winery. By the time the show started most had taken the opportunity to avail themselves of some absolutely amazing food. So life was good. Thank you Beresford! She then explained the premise of afternoon. One, sampling a selection of the Beresford Wines, naturally I was on board with this. But the Second part was the really cool bit, for the entertainment the Virago Circus had paired a “kickass” female circus performer who’s art fit with the tasting notes of the “kickass” wine to create a space for “kickass” women to be strong and create art and for the rest of us to enjoy great South Australian Produce. I am so behind both those causes! Strong is Sexy! And Shop Small, Shop Local!
The show was brilliant. The Winery provided a really great backdrop. It was so picturesque and relaxing. The wine was great! My pick was the Chardonnay but I’m not much of a red drinker so you can take that for what it’s worth. The performers were just breathtaking. I’d seen a few of the amazing humans in the tents before, watching a performance in this setting was an entirely different experience. The landscape almost added a majestic quality to the routines. The entire audience was completely immersed in the performances which was so great to be a part of.
Flight is definitely a wine tasting you want to be a part of. The setting is just beautiful and elevates the performers to goddess status as a backdrop for the stunning routines. This show is a great relaxing time out with good food, great wine and excellent entertainment. I love that Virago’s principles of female empowerment and shopping small /local so closely align with mine. Just another tick in a positive column that is pretty chockers!
You can still catch Flight by Virago Circus at the Beresford Winery next weekend but you are going to have to act fast! There is a show on Saturday 21 March at 6:30pm or Sunday 22 March at 2:30pm.
Definitely worth a look!
