The show London Calling! truly lived up to its name, bringing a vibrant European atmosphere all the way to Adelaide. From the moment the performance began, I felt as though I had stepped into a time capsule and was being taken on a magical journey through cabaret, circus, magic, and comedy.

The production was a high-energy celebration of live performance. Every element of the show worked together seamlessly, creating an exciting and immersive experience for the audience. The performers clearly loved being on stage, and their passion was reflected in their confident performances and strong stage presence.

A standout of the night was the host, Ben Hart. His natural charisma and strong connection with the audience made him an excellent host. Hart’s humour and engaging delivery helped guide the audience through the different acts while keeping the energy high. His magic tricks were also impressive, particularly the moment when he balanced a glass of beer on a triangle and spun it around without the glass tipping over. This moment captured the audience’s attention and created a sense of amazement throughout the theatre.

The costumes and stage production were also highlights of the show. The elaborate costumes and carefully designed staging helped establish the different scenes and added to the overall atmosphere. These visual elements made the performance feel polished and professional, enhancing the storytelling and guiding the audience through the performance.

The audience response showed the strong impact of the show. Throughout the performance, the crowd was laughing, clapping, and reacting with excitement to the many surprising moments. This shared energy created a lively and engaging atmosphere in the venue.

Overall, London Calling! delivered a magical and entertaining experience. With talented performers, impressive production design, and strong audience engagement, the show transported the audience on a memorable theatrical journey. I would happily give this performance a five-star rating.
