When you tell someone you just watched an hour long show about a French bed bug you’ll get confused looks, but keep telling them about it. They need to go.  Born out of Fully Charged’s 2025 sketch show Business and Pleasure, Le Bug is a one-man expansion of the French mite character who just wants audiences to giggle and let him “’ave a nibble”. Producer Callum Le Page generates a back story about a bug who wants to stay up late, dodge the fumigators and avoid his mothers ire. Le Bug’s strong suit isn’t the story arc of this sweet character, but leaning in to what Fully Charged do so well: playing with the audience and using nostalgic innocence to entertain.  Callum captures the tone of a 10 year old’s sleepover where someone’s snuck in a TV and contraband cigarettes, but glimpses at mature reflection with references to doom scrolling and consent. How much of that is ad-libbed or scripted will be proven through the run, but the focus of the show is to enjoy the silliness of the whole concept.  Le Bug is one bed bug you want to be bitten by.
