Billed as the ultimate slimy game show and hosted by the very loud comedian, Matty Grey, the Grossed Out Game Show is a highly interactive event. When lining up you are given a paper plate, which had everyone wondering what that was for. We had to wait until near the end of the show to discover why.
The audience is divided into two halves – the blue and yellow teams – with two celebrity team captains (fellow Fringe performers) leading the charge. They are assisted by Doctor Kool and Professor Kitty Kat, through a series of messy challenges.
No-one is safe from being called up on stage, adults and children alike, although the children were more than happy to volunteer to be on stage. The games are fun, fast paced and often involved participation from the entire audience.
This is a terrific family Fringe show. Yes, it gets loud, but more importantly, very silly. Have you ever wanted to throw poo at the stage? Well, you get the chance at this show, albeit it, poo shaped cushions.
The losing teams captain is ceremoniously ushered into the Slime Booth to suffer their fate, much to the delight of the children and adults alike.
This is a show where you, the audience, get dragged into the chaos and love it. A show so good, even our Premier attended with his family and joined in.
It was also appreciated the helpers moved through the audience offering ear muffs for those who wanted them. This was greatly received by our 4-year-old Grandson.
Round the family up for one of the best family shows at the Fringe. Oh, and the paper plate? You have to attend to find out why you were given one.
