Giuseppe’s Love Quest performed by Jeromaia Detto, and it was an unforgettable comedy experience. Detto has an incredible sense of humour and a remarkable ability to transform himself on stage. His portrayal of the Italian character Giuseppe Alfresco was so convincing that, at first, I genuinely believed he might actually be from Italy. This level of believability highlights Detto’s talent as a naturalistic actor and skilled performer.
Throughout the show, Detto plays the character of Giuseppe Alfresco with charm and creativity. The storyline follows Giuseppe as he tries to understand the meaning of love, despite never having experienced it himself. The character’s innocence and curiosity make him instantly likeable and add a sweet, heartfelt layer to the comedy.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of the performance was how often Detto interacted with the audience. This crowd engagement made the experience feel fresh and unpredictable, setting it apart from many other comedy shows about relationships and love.
The production elements were also impressive. The props, lighting, and costumes were all carefully used to enhance the performance and help bring the character to life on stage.
Overall, Giuseppe’s Love Quest is a show that should not be missed. As the audience left the tent at Gluttony, it was clear how much people had enjoyed the performance—many were laughing and smiling as they walked out. Congratulations to Jeromaia Detto for delivering such an entertaining and memorable show. I give this performance a five-star review.
