This is exactly the kind of Fringe show families love. Funny, interactive and packed with just enough learning to make you feel like you’ve nailed the “fun but educational” box for the day.

From the start, Robyn, Rosie and Andrew had the whole crowd in stitches. The comedy lands for both kids and adults (which is harder than it looks), with plenty of silly moments, quick banter and genuine belly laughs. It never drags, and the energy stays high the entire time.

What surprised us most was how much the kids actually learnt without even realising. The animal facts are fascinating and delivered in such a fun way that they stick. My girls have not stopped talking about the fact that hippopotamuses sweat blood. Fringe AND science? We’ll take it.

There’s music, dancing, audience participation and interactive games with prizes. The performers are warm, quick on their feet and brilliant at working the crowd, making every show feel slightly different and very personal.

It’s suitable for all ages, but we’d especially recommend it for kids aged five and up, who will get the most out of the humour and the facts.

If you’re looking for a Fringe show that’s genuinely entertaining, not too long, and leaves the kids talking about it for days, Quest for the Coolest Animal in the World is a winner.
