Having never been to a hypnotist’s show like many of the fellow patrons I was genuinely excited to see what would happen, my ideas of hypnosis being that of calm ocean waves and relaxed talking.

Expectations should be left at the door because Matt Hale is an altogether different type of hypnotist and a great showman.

90s rewind themes the show and Hale energises the crowd from the first second, his exuberance and likability used to its full potential as he literally jumps on and off stage engaging each and every spectator.

Once his explanation of what is to occur has been delivered, he asks for volunteers and there are many, eager and willing to become part of the show.

Hale uses combinations of suggestion and relaxation techniques to get the best out of the performing audience. His voice is calm and strong but his energy is still high and positive. Hale is a dichotomy in front of our eyes seemingly able to calm the most anxious of people whilst still bouncing around like a jack in the box.

Each show is different with the “hypnotised” responding in various states of awareness, under Hale’s safe and watchful guidance, with exponential degrees of hilarity.

Matt Hale has quite obviously honed his skills over many years and works to  get the best out of his participants and provide for his audience.

This show is funny, exciting and did not seem to use the hour allotted until you checked your watch and saw that yes indeed our time with Matt Hale was up. This reviewer could have happily watched more.

One other interesting sensation you are left with is this internal sense of peace. Audience members filed out all remarking how contented they felt mentally. This show gave each person in that room an hour away from the outside, to focus on the moment and their enjoyment of that moment.

Either Matt Hale is a phenomenal performer or he is the greatest hypnotist in the world as there was not one dissatisfied patron. Then again he may be both, either way, Matt Hale Hypnotist 90s rewind was an undeniably wonderful experience.
