They call her the Mistress of Mayhem and she encapsulates that and so much more! Bernie Dieter returns to the Adelaide Fringe after a long seven years and it’s safe to say she has been missed. Nothing you will see at the Fringe this year will compare to Club Kabarett. It’s edgy, it’s sexy and its deliciously naughty! Hosted by Dieter along with a talented cast of weirdos that had the whole audience in wide eye awe and excitement. It’s circus cabaret for adults. The curious and unashamed.

Within the first three minutes it was pure chaos. The sexy and good kind of chaos that had us captivated with Dieter from the moment she walked on stage. Be aware… you may be a target for her irresistible charm and be a part of the show. A lucky few encountered plenty of stroking and seductive eye gazing and not entirely by Dieter! Her charm and wit is unmatched. It was hard for even the most resistive patron to say no to her requests and there were a few men who were on stage collectively shaking their little tooshies on the cat walk! She certainly is the queen of punk provocative cabaret!

Dieter sings her way through out the show with a live band and original songs with clear messages. While it was clear as day in the dark Aurora Spiegeltent of The Garden of Unearthly Delights, that it was “her body and her choice!” all the while, Club Kabarett was intimate and playful, oozing affectionately of human connection that brought out as she quoted “your deepest, darkest desires!” But I must mention the other rebel provocateurs, who in their own right had their shining moments. Jacqueline Furey aka The Human Heatwave stunned us with her sword swallowing and hot hot hot fire breathing, Jarrad Dewey had us in awe of his aerial feats while Soliana Ersie had our jaws dropping with her contortions. To twist a body like she did was just insane! Drag Queen Iva Rosebud teased us with some sassy and risqué burlesque, trust me you don’t want to miss it and the sensational Caleb Cameron tap tap tapping his way across the stage wooing us with charm!

Theres so much happening in this show. My advice…don’t close your eyes. Don’t even blink. You don’t want to miss a thing. Its filthy and dirty. And absolutely gorgeous, in a damn good way!
