Are you ready for this? Are you ready Hypnotist Matt Hale - FUNBELIEVABLE! 90s Rewind? When the audience comes out of a show saying "How great was that!" then you know a show is good. I've seen Hypnotist Matt Hale many times and every time I say "How does that guy keep up the high energy?" It's non-stop! Hale runs and runs and runs, darting here and there revving up the audience into a fun frenzy. Talk about Boom! Boom! Shake the Room! That's just in the first two minutes!
Its been a couple of years since Adelaide Fringe audiences have seen Matt Hale but he's back home at Gluttony in the The May Wirth tent in his new all 90s related theme of hypnotics. Starting off by throwing out 90s trivia questions to see how educated we all were about the decade that brought us Pump Up The Jam, the Macarena and that song etched in everyone's mind whether you like it or not, Oasis' Wonderwall. Safe to say we passed the test.
Don't sweat it, Hale doesn't pick you out. Its all voluntary. As with most of his shows there were no shortage of volunteers. So many volunteer with this Hypnosis show because its fun, friendly and pure joy! Good times only! Once on stage the willing participants are taken into a relaxed state of body, mind and soul. And that's the calm before the storm! The chaos started and didn't finish until the end of the show.
Each time I see this show there's always the standouts, the ones that have you in fits of laughter and tonight's show had Maybe Guy, Scat Girl and King of the World Guy! We will keep their names anonymous for obvious reasons! Every time Hale would say "maybe" Maybe Guy would start singing Wonderwall and of course Hale would say it at the most randoms of times mixing it with Scat Girl having to scat songs (spoiler alert she didn't know how to scat but was ohhh so fantastic at what ever it was she was singing!!!) as well as the lovely (mature aged) gentlemen who would yell out "I'm King of the World" as if he was Leonardo di Caprio from Titanic.
It was all happening….chaotic choreographic dancing like the 90s girl and boy bands, Macarena dance offs, bad face selfies and Venga Bus antics. Matt Hale pumped out the hypnotic 90s hits. If you just want a show that will make you laugh, smile, feel good and maybe even want to be a participant, then Grab Ya Tix to Hypnotist Matt Hale - FUNBELIEVABLE! 90s Rewind.
