The Blind and The Beautiful is a double billed comedy act with the Beautiful Bogan, Marc Ryan, and Joshua Warrior. These are two of Adelaide’s funniest comedians in the local comedy scene. These guys are absolutely hilarious and chillest people you can imagine spending time with.

The Blind and The Beautiful was a really relaxed show, more like a good yarn with some mates over a pint and a sunny afternoon BBQ. No subject was taboo from Marc Ryan explaining hairstyles in gaol yard gig “sh*t there I was…” stories to some deep observations about mental health, relationships ending and jig saw puzzles. Some fine lady, date this man! You won’t find a kinder or sweeter soul as Marc definitely comes from a good place even if he is self described as a bit much. He is not dubbed the Beautiful Bogan without a reason.

Josh Warrior (the comedy legend, not the criminal mastermind) is definitely one to watch in the spot light of Indigenous comedic voices (even if he can’t literally see it!) I particularly enjoyed the multicultural appreciation of his drunk aunty for her love of the Lebanese community (Bon Jovi will never be the same!) As the best friend of a vision impaired person, sometimes the clearest ideas of identity are observed by those of us with the least sight. Warrior has created some really clever material around identity that even a white fella like me can appreciate as the truly good stuff after working with Australian Aboriginal communities in my undergraduate at archaeology studies.
