The Adelaide International Comedy Gala at Thebarton Theatre was a masterclass in comedic chaos, blending sharp wit, fearless satire, and a touch of irreverence that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats. Hosted by the ever-energetic Eddie Bannon, the event is a whirlwind of laughter, featuring a lineup that reads like a who’s who of Australian comedy including Will Anderson, Georgie Carroll, Pete Helliar, Ivan Aristeguieta, Tilly Harrison, Nikki Britton, Tom Gleeson, Umbilical Brothers, Jacob Jackman, Daniel Muggleton, and James McCann.

What a lineup! With every comic firing on all cylinders, Thebarton Theatre was ground zero for uncontrollable laughter. From biting political commentary to absurd physical antics, each act brought their own unique brand of humour, unafraid to push boundaries and deliver edgy material with confidence. The audience responded with raucous laughter and applause throughout the show’s unconventional “three halves of a whole” format, ensuring the comedy never let up.

In a city that thrives on creativity and bold entertainment, the Adelaide International Comedy Gala proved once again why Adelaide is the beating heart of the Fringe. The non-stop hilarity, top-tier talent, and electric atmosphere left the crowd buzzing, reminding us that there’s simply nowhere else you’d rather be for a proper dose of world-class comedy.

Adelaide International Comedy Gala: Where the laughs are loud, the talent is legendary, and the night is truly unforgettable.
