Four young lads from Adelaide, sparkling in their bright orange jackets, tore up the tent with a performance that was nothing short of electric! For their 10th year at the Fringe, these boys brought the heat, literally. It was sweltering in the middle of the field, but they poured every drop of energy (and sweat!) into a show bursting with retro fun.
Ben Francis, just 25, has wowed audiences from Adelaide to Hong Kong, Paris, London, and Taipei, and his direction shines. Jack, trained in Adelaide and Melbourne, lights up the stage, while Lachlan Williams, a founding member and Flinders Drama Centre alum, brings punchy vocals and funky bass. Finnegan Green, who started in Adelaide and honed his craft in Melbourne, completes the quartet with flair.
The setlist is a ‘70s fever dream: Skyhooks’ Living in the 70s, Queen, Sherbet’s Howzat, Eagles’ Take it Easy, AC/DC’s Long Way To The Top (with sax!), Kiss, Gloria Gaynor, Disco Inferno, and an Abba Medley. If you want a surprise, look away, but you’ll be dancing in your seat!
Stage Whispers calls it “A Las Vegas-Worthy Performance.” And I agree, this is the most fun you’ll have in a tent!
