Ready to Mambo is the next instalment in the fantastic life of Ivan Aristeguieta. As always he brought his unique ability to find joy in chaos to make a whole room of people erupt into laughter for the whole time he was on stage. This man has Charisma with a capital I. 

Expect to hear about the big events in Ivan’s life, how he’s finding calm madness and why everything is improved by dancing to a Latino beat! 

In Ready to Mambo,  Ivan tells stories about his life that are equally engaging, interesting and hilarious, all of which is possible because his comedy is intelligent, thoughtful and he has such a positive and warm stage presence. He has something to say that’s deeper than just a cheap laugh and he has the skills to get that across whilst keeping the show light and entertaining. 

What’s great about Ivan is that he approaches his audiences with the familiarity of old friends which make sense because half the audience has been coming to his Fringe shows for years. That half of the audience includes me! 

Catch phrases from early shows like “it’s too much” referring to grilled cheese being too much of a good thing has been in me and partners dialogue since we saw the show. Ivan is an Icon in my house. 

I absolutely love Ivan Aristeguieta‘s  perspective on life and approach to putting on a show. Tonight may have been his best one yet.
