The return of “Jackson v Jackson”, one of the Fringe’s deservedly top selling shows, was a tremendous local effort, with 75 performers, in all, belting out an energetic, non-stop, 5-mashed tribute to Michael and Janet.

While singer Charmaine Jones excellently masterminded proceedings, eight soloists, and Gospo Collective also sang and jived away to the strains of electric piano, guitar, and percussion in perfect tempo.

Here was a superbly choreographed, and obviously exhaustingly rehearsed show, that was perfect for a balmy summer’s evening. Thus, the packed house enjoyed every minute.

While we could have done with longer solos, such as “She’s Out Of My Life”, “Never Can Say Goodbye” was a fitting climax to a great contribution from performers, in a few instances, perhaps too young to really know who Michael Jackson was!
