Dom Chambers candidly confesses to an addiction to card tricks that began in his teenage years When other teenage boys were doing other things in their bedroom behind closed doors he was learning card tricks. And you’d have to say it’s paid off big time. It seems he could put an unseen card anywhere; give any unseen card to anyone; then distract himself and his audience for the next 10 minutes with comic banter and other side tricks and come back later and accurately identify those cards. It really is astonishing. Some tricks appear to rely on mind-reading mentalism as much as magic. In any event, the outcome is always impressive.

Several tricks are performed on the pillow of his bed under the eye of a camera that beams everything on to a big screen so everyone has a bird’s eye view of what he’s doing with his hands and the cards. With ridiculous ease he manipulates cards as if he was born with them, flipping them about in a display of physical mastery that’s just as impressive as the tricks themselves. And when he manages to flick the right card out of his… well… you’re just going to have to go and see the show to see where that card comes from!

Chambers tells us he was on America’s Got Talent and only failed to make the final because he ignored the advice of the experts on how to approach the next round. It seems he’s made a habit of ignoring the advice of experts over the years and is trying to make amends with A Boy And His Deck but he needs your help.
