Fabulously energetic performer & surprising ending

A beautiful, touching story that moved seamlessly between humor and heartache. The performance was captivating and maintained an electricity throughout the entire hour. Cannot recommend highly enough.

great show but it definitely needs a warning about the flashing lights, if i knew there was flashy lights, i wouldn’t have purchased tickets!

Tremendous work from Beth Paterson, writer and actor, and Kathryn Yates director. Tales of if holocaust survivors are never easy, but this is told very deftly, with elements of levity and humour interspersed throughout. Resonated very strongly with me as my mother, though not Jewish, was raised stateless in Nazi Germany. I heard her voice in Beth's grandma Niusia repeatedly.

I recently saw this magic show that was a total LETDOWN. I expected a lot more magic, but there were barely any tricks (two at most). And the worst part? It wasn’t even all about the magic. There was a weird amount of nudity thrown in that didn’t make sense and felt completely out of place (and fake eg. Prosthetics). It wasn’t edgy or fun, just awkward and uncomfortable. Not what I was expecting at all. Save your money and skip this one!

A well written piece and true story that is incredibly moving

Solo show, but I felt the presence of Beth’s mother grandmother and all the mothers before. Artfully told and cleverly staged reflections on matriarchal strength, generational trauma and discovering your roots. Loved it 🥰
