What an absolute gem! It is a rare gift to find actors who can perform Shakespeare naturally, and these three have it. What an exceptional performance! The Understudies is written and performed by a trio from Newcastle, and tells the story of two friends whose skills and patience are put to the test when the rest of the cast comes down sick and they need to singlehandedly save the show. It is full of heart, absolutely hilarious, and performed with perfect comic timing. What a masterpiece!

High energy local dance school delivered a fast paced, well rehearsed performance with 30 all age dancers. The two comperes drew the threads of the decades together well and the music, lighting and costumes were fab. The audience loved it and so did the dancers.

Beautiful show, made me cry.
